After nearly 50 years of dedicated leadership, Larry D. Gorrell has announced his decision to step down as Principal Broker upon Zachary B. Gorrell obtaining the necessary licensing and satisfying all applicable requirements for the transition.

For decades, Larry has been a trusted leader in Northwest Ohio’s real estate and auction industry. His unwavering integrity, professionalism, and commitment to serving clients have helped establish Gorrell Bros. as one of the region’s most respected real estate, auction, and appraisal firms.

Although transitioning from his role as Principal Broker, Larry will remain actively involved with Gorrell Bros. as an Associate Broker, Auctioneer, and Appraiser. He will continue serving clients, supporting the company’s auction and real estate operations, and mentoring the next generation of real estate professionals.

Upon completion of the necessary licensing and regulatory requirements, Gorrell Bros. is proud to announce the appointment of Zachary B. Gorrell to serve the company

Under Larry’s mentorship, Zach has rapidly emerged as one of Northwest Ohio’s leading real estate professionals. In 2025, Zach successfully closed more than 70 real estate transactions, making him the top-producing individual real estate agent in Paulding County by a significant margin and one of the leading agents throughout the surrounding multi-county region in total transactions. His production ranked him among Ohio’s highest-performing real estate professionals.

A lifelong resident of Paulding County, Zach graduated from Paulding High School in 2022, where he was active in athletics and student leadership and served as President of the National Honor Society and Vice President of his graduating class. In 2026, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation at the University of Toledo.

Zach completed his real estate education through Davis College and graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering, further expanding his professional expertise within the real estate and auction industries. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Zach is a licensed real estate professional, auctioneer, and registered real estate appraiser assistant, providing valuation services involving residential, agricultural, commercial, estate, and investment properties.

As a fifth-generation member of the Gorrell family business, Zach is committed to preserving the values, reputation, and traditions that have defined Gorrell Bros. since 1920 while positioning the company for continued growth.

Under Zach’s leadership, Gorrell Bros. will continue expanding its real estate, auction, and appraisal divisions through strategic growth, innovative technology, modern marketing, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional client service.

Recognized for his results-driven approach to real estate marketing, Zach combines professional photography, drone videography, digital advertising, targeted social media campaigns, and strategic property marketing to maximize exposure and deliver exceptional results for clients. Committed to giving back to the community he calls home, Zach is an active member of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce and Paulding Kiwanis and is a graduate of the Leadership in Action program. He also serves and worships at Defiance Church of the Nazarene.
